Credits - How do they work?

Updated this week

Credits are used on Luvi to unlock content and interact with creators in a simple, secure way. This guide explains how credits work and how you can use them.

Credits are the in-app currency used to make purchases and support creators on Luvi. Instead of entering payment details for every action, credits allow you to quickly access content and features across the platform.

What You Can Use Credits For

You can use your credits across a wide range of features on Luvi, including:

  • Creator subscriptions – Subscribe to a creator’s page

  • Tips - Standard tips, Quick tips, Tips attached to messages, Tip to DM, Wishlist tips, Content request tips

  • Locked message unlocks (plus with coupons) – Access paid messages in chat

  • Single purchases (in-app & via Luvi Links) – Buy paywalled content directly in the app and purchase content through shared links

  • Social link unlocks – Unlock access to a creator’s social profiles

There are also premium features that you can purchase with the credits:

  • Bundle subscriptions – Subscribe to multi-month bundles

  • Superfan purchases – Access exclusive high-tier content or perks

  • Calls – Pay per minute during live calls with creators

Credits are deducted automatically when you confirm a purchase or complete an action.

What Credits Can’t Be Used For

There are a few cases where credits cannot be used:

  • Luvi+ subscription – This must be paid by card and uses a separate payment flow

  • Buying more credits – Credits cannot be used to purchase additional credits

  • Purchases from a creator with an open refund request – Payments to that creator are temporarily blocked until the refund is resolved

If you have any questions about how your credits are being used or need help with a transaction, our support team is here to help on either in-app Chat or email [email protected]
